I was clearly within my rights to return a defective notebook since it had only been within the first 2 days. In fact, under the RMA status it had marked "return/replace." This was marked by the original customer service person I spoke to. It was more than just a button not working. I have a hard drive that clicks, the computer makes a loud popping noise when it shuts off, and a nice obnoxious sound whenever it's in an idle state or being pushed to the limits. The damn thing sounds like it's haunted. Also, I got things cleared up with newegg, which I'll post about soon. Lalz.
